Our Zoom call begins with new NWA Owner and President, Paul Ellering, on the screen.
"Hello everyone, thank you for joining me for the first ever State of the NWA press conference. I am the owner and President of the National Wrestling Alliance, Paul Ellering. I wanted to take this time to address any questions, concerns, or opinions you may have regarding the status and future of the National Wrestling Alliance.
There has been a lot going on with the NWA as of late, so if you haven't caught up on recent events, I would recommend watching Chase For The Gold and then heading over to NationalWrestlingAlliance.com to catch up on our recent happenings.
I intend to answer any and all questions you, the members of the wrestling community, may have for me...but also, for this man I am about to introduce. I would like to officially announce the new Commissioner of the National Wrestling Alliance, Mike Adamle!"
Then, none other than Mike Adamle appears on the screen!
"Mr. Ellering, it is both a joy and a privilege to be working on your behalf. I am excited about the new direction of the NWA and I promise to ensure that our shows run as smoothly as possible while offering a fair and balanced playing field for all of our wrestlers and talents in the company. I will also be fielding any questions you may have. So without further ado, let's get this started."

I have been a longtime fan of The NWA. So I have a few questions regarding the status of certain members of the roster. These can be answered by either of you.
First, what is the thought on Ric Flair? Do you think putting his health at risk at this stage of his career is a wise move?
Second, Is there anyone on the roster that are on the trading block?
Third, What can we expect from The NWA that will differ from what other promotions are bringing to the table?
Lastly, Mike, you have been known as a laughing stock in the professional wrestling business....you have long been considered of having zero product knowledge...have you been studying the product to actually know what you are doing this time around or will this end up like it did years ago with you getting your walking papers?

Hello, This is Cauchi here from PWInsider
1.) Further to the previous questions about NWA’s roster, will you be reaching out to other promotions in an effort to exchange talent, or will you simply be terminating contracts?
2.) With NJPW folding, it appears now is a good a time as any for NWA to want to reshape their roster. Do you have anyone specific you’re looking to bring over from the former company in the coming days?
3.) Mr. Ellering, there seems to be some serious doubt in regards to your proclamation of innocence when it comes to the disappearance of Billy Corgan, and subsequent debut of Brodie Lee. Care to elaborate once again to try and put these accusations to rest?
4.) Mr. Adamle, last you were seen was in a comedy skit on Being the Elite where you’re lack of wrestling knowledge was openly mocked but both yourself and The Young Bucks. Being as you’ve seemingly accepted your last venture in the world of professional wrestling was an absolute failure, what is going to be different this time?

First, what is the thought on Ric Flair? Do you think putting his health at risk at this stage of his career is a wise move?
“Thank you, King. As far as Ric Flair goes, the way I see it, how can you have the National Wrestling Alliance without the man who put the NWA on the map?
As owner and President of the NWA, I have to trust that Ric knows his body better than anyone else. When the time comes that Ric says he’s had enough of in-ring competition, Ric knows he will always have a place here in the NWA whether that’s in or out of the ring.”
Second, Is there anyone on the roster that are on the trading block?
“We’re looking at all possibilities right now. The NWA is going to return bigger and better than ever. All of our talent is valuable, but some talent may not fit - or appreciate - the vision we have to thrust this company into the number one position it should be in.”
Third, What can we expect from The NWA that will differ from what other promotions are bringing to the table?
“Great question, thank you for asking that. The National Wrestling Alliance is built on history and tradition, but that doesn’t mean it should be stuck in the past. We appreciate our roots, but roots have to grow.
We know our fans love old school wrestling, but we trust that our fans know this is also a business. I look around at the competition and I see peoples intelligence being insulted. I see promoters making a mockery out of wrestling. Wrestling has paid my bills for almost five decades, but at this rate, it’s not going to be around much longer. We’re not going to make a living off of second rate YouTube shows or poorly planned skits. We’re going to redefine what it means to be a fan of modern day professional wrestling.”
Lastly, Mike, you have been known as a laughing stock in the professional wrestling business....you have long been considered of having zero product knowledge...have you been studying the product to actually know what you are doing this time around or will this end up like it did years ago with you getting your walking papers?
Without hesitation, Adamle nods and begins to answer the question.
“King, you bring up a great point, my friend. A laughing stock, putting it lightly. To echo what Mr. Ellering said, we’re not going to insult the intelligence of our audience. Trust me when I say that if you’re an authority figure in the NWA - behind the scenes and in front of the camera - there’s very little room for funny business.
I’ve been involved in sports for many years and what the NWA needs is someone who people will listen to. I am that person. Maybe it’s time you set aside your preconceived notions, with all due respect. Thanks.”

1.) Further to the previous questions about NWA’s roster, will you be reaching out to other promotions in an effort to exchange talent, or will you simply be terminating contracts?
“I’ll take this one. First, thank you Cauchi for the question. PWInsider is a fine publication. I think there’s something to be said about diplomacy. The NWA has always had a good working relationship with other promotions, and I hope it stays that way.”
2.) With NJPW folding, it appears now is a good a time as any for NWA to want to reshape their roster. Do you have anyone specific you’re looking to bring over from the former company in the coming days?
“There’s some tremendous talent out there, but there’s also a lot of talent who should’ve never graduated wrestling school. Only the best talent will be on the NWA roster. Our eyes and ears are open to making the best business decisions.”
3.) Mr. Ellering, there seems to be some serious doubt in regards to your proclamation of innocence when it comes to the disappearance of Billy Corgan, and subsequent debut of Brodie Lee. Care to elaborate once again to try and put these accusations to rest?
“Mr. Cauchi, you obviously didn’t understand me previously. I had NOTHING to do with the disappearance of Billy Corgan. I had NOTHING to do with the debut of Brodie Lee. Your question is repetitive and lacks good judgment. Do I come across as someone who would pull something like that? Give me a break. Take that back to your editor, it’ll be great clickbait.”
“My job as Commissioner of the NWA is not for your entertainment, it is to ensure that talent is living up to its full potential and receiving opportunities they deserve. I don’t lack wrestling knowledge, nor was my last venture a failure. If you’re a smart business person, you know when it’s time to move on. And that’s what I did. Sometimes we have to separate entertainment from reality. Thanks for your question.”
