Special 8-Man Tag Team Match
Chaos' Japan (Kushida, David Finlay, and Roppongi 3K with Rocky Romero) vs. The Legion of Doom and The Good Brothers
From there, we go ringside, where we first get the introductions of The Legion of Doom. The crowd gives them a major set of cheers as they come out. Kevin, Chris, and Gino (who himself is introduced as returning to the announce desk) talk about their unfortunate loss at Dominion to GoD, but that they still have momentum on their side following their Heavyweight Tag Team victory.
The Good Brothers are brought out next and they get a much more mixed reaction. They share a "Too Sweet" as they approach the ring with Kevin, Chris, and Gino acknowledging their challenge and acceptance by EVIL and Sanada at Dominion. They assure the fans that the loser will no longer able to use the Magic Killer as a finisher. Doc and Karl share a handshake with Hawk and Animal, putting to rest any disrespect the two teams might have.
Chaos' Japan comes out next, captained by Kushida and accompanied by Rocky. The trio at the table bring up Roppongi's and David's victories at Dominion with all of them holding their titles up high. Kushida did not walk out a winner though as he limps to the ring with a wrapped up leg following the assault by Taiji Ishimori on it recently.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Before the bell officially rings, EVIL and Sanada come out to a respectable pop from the crowd. They stand at the stage, watching as the match gets under way.
Special 8-Man Tag Team Match
Chaos' Japan (Kushida, David Finlay, and Roppongi 3K with Rocky Romero) vs. The Legion of Doom and The Good Brothers
As the match starts with David and Karl sharing some holds, the trio at the announce desk bring up Chaos' Japan's recent troubles between Tanahashi and Ibushi. When Rocky approaches them to squash any rumors, they quickly change subjects to talk about Kushida's leg in further detail and the damage that's been done to it recently.
The match itself is a standard 8-Man Tag affair. Doc/Karl and Hawk/Animal make a decent combination and actually work together really well. Chaos' Japan gets a lot more offense ahead of them despite Kushida's weakness.
It's an errant distraction by Karl and chop block by Doc to Kushida that gets them upper hand. This doesn't sit right with LoD who choose not to tag in when the Good Brothers want to. Karl and Doc really focus a lot of the match by themselves, but the tides turn when David hits a Superkick to Doc, taking him out of the ring and a Prima Nocta takes Karl back to his corner. Hawk makes the tag and starts really getting things going with Chaos' Japan.
The end comes when Animal has Kushida up for a Doomsday Device. Karl goes for a Gun Stun to Yoh, who tries to break it up. Yoh, however, pushes Karl into the ropes, crotching Hawk up top. As Kushida reverses Animal into a victory roll to get the win, Chaos' Japan does a good job at keeping their opponents at bay.
Winners: Chaos' Japan (Kushida, David Finlay, and Roppongi 3K with Rocky Romero) at 7:48
After the match, EVIL and Sanada smirk at the stage before leaving as LoD really lay it into The Good Brothers. Doc and Karl take their lashings before they all head to the back together.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Once all the participants have left, Kimihiko introduces the next match, starting with Cedric's team, who captains both Ren and Shota towards the ring. The three of them get a modest pop, with the trio at the announce table congratulating Cedric on his win at Dominion while applauding Lions' Roar's attempts which unfortunately came up short.
Sabre is introduced next, who gets a decent set of boos from the crowd. Nothing too loud, but enough to sour Zach's mood, which Kevin does a good job selling his recent troubles give his one-man-gang nature. Once he hits ringside, the Major Stars are introduced. John is dressed as a sexy Buckingham guard while Matthew is actually rocking a dress ala the Queen. Zach can't help but crack a smile despite his otherwise serious nature as Matthew sells the out of it.
Special 8-Man Tag Team Match
Zach Sabre Jr. and The Major Stars vs. Cedric Alexander and The Lions' Roar
Given the nature of the two teams, the focus by the announcer's was mostly on Cedric and Zach and how their match was well received, but it was Cedric who came out the winner.
The match itself suffers a bit due both their spot on the card and it being nothing but a reason to use the guys. Cedric and his teammates do take it to the Major Stars who get their comedy selling out of the way quickly. It's Zach who moves Matthew out of the way of an ongoing splash by Shota which gets his team on top.
Zach takes some time really tearing away at Shota's arm, something Matthew and John add in when they throw in a few of their double teams. Shota manages to reverse an arm bar by John into a powerbomb, which really knocks the wind out of the dancer. One hot tag later and Cedric and Zach once again are at odds.
The end comes when Cedric and Zach have themselves tagged back out, but their fight continues on the outside and threw the crowd. In the ring, Ren goes for a flying dropkick to John, who dodges, sending the attack into Shota! One Superkick by Matthew to Ren later and a follow-up Disaster Blaster to Shota nets the fashion icons a victory.
Winners: Zach Sabre Jr. and The Major Stars at 7:03
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The next match is soon to be introduced. Wrestling's Best Tag Team is brought out first to a modest set of cheers. The trio at the announce table bring up their challenge and acceptance against LoD and how they will face off at Destruction in Kobe. Rob Van Dam is brought out next, and after his debut before Dominion and his impressive performance, the real focus is on his victory at Dominion over KENTA.
Jushin Thunder Lige captains his team next, coming out with Tiger and Santos. The trio finally seem on the same page, with Kevin, Chris, and Gino making note of Tiger looking surprised when Santos opens the ropes for both his veteran teammates.
Special 6-Man Tag Team Match
Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, and Santos Escobar vs. Rob Van Dam and Wrestling's Best Tag Team
This match was mainly put together with the goal of getting Liger, Tiger, and Santos to be a unit, and it really showed. The first bulk of the match was the three of them trading shots and double teaming with Shelton and Charlie. The announcers focus a lot on all six men's ability and how they are all looking to make big moves in the near future.
RVD gets the upper hand after Tiger goes for a Tiger Bomb to Shelton, only to hit a spin kick which takes the veteran. Things break down further when Shelton and Charlie focus on him for a bit.
A predictable match of this sort deserves a predictable conclusion and to follow suit, Tiger manages to throw Shelton out of the ring long enough to tag in Santos. Santos comes in like a house of fire and takes out all three of his opponents in due time.
The end comes not long after when Tiger gets tagged back in and immediately meets Shelton. They brawl for a bit but when Shelton goes for a Superkick, Tiger catches his leg. Shelton goes for a Dragon Whip, but Santos pushes Tiger out of the way, taking the kick to his face. Tiger follows that up with a Tiger Bomb while Liger makes sure RVD and Haas are out of the way. Marty Asami counts the pin as Tiger cinches the pin.
Winners: Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, and Santos Escobar at 6:31
After the match, Tiger shows Santos some respect by shaking his head and keeping him close, helping him to the back as he grips his head.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
We take a momentary break to sanitize the ring as well as take a brief intermission. Kevin, Chris, and Gino over the card for the next two days of shows.

Special 10-Man Tag Team Match

The announcers focus a small bit on the debut of The Colons, as well as Zach and Cedric getting another chance to attack each other. However, the main focus is on the Dominion rematch between Naito and Hennig.
It's at this point that Rocky Romero joins the trio at the announce table.
From there, we go back to ringside where Kimihiko is in the ring.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
He introduces the first match of the G1 Climax. Jay White comes out first, accompanied by the apparent return of Gedo, much to everyone's shock and dismay. The quartet focus on Jay's victory of the NEVER Openweight 4-Way at Dominion and becoming the NEVER Openweight Champion, but also bring up Gedo's return.
After that, Juice Robinson comes out to the crowd's cheers. The quartet do bring up his title win at Dominion, winning the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Title with his Chaos' Japan bretheren Ishii and Finlay.
G1 Climax Block A Match
Chaos' Japan's Juice Robinson vs. Bullet Club's Jay White with Gedo
The match starts off in standard Bullet Club fashion: with Jay attacking Juice before the bell. Jay hammers into Juice for a while until an errant clothesline takes Jay to the mat. From there the focus is really on the two duking it out and trying to keep the other down to the mat.
A turning point comes when Jay hits Juice with a uranagi on the apron. From there, Jay really hammers into Juice's back, making sure to keep him down to the mat with backbreakers and suplexes and slams. Jay goes for a Blade Runner, but Juice gets out into a spin kick. Despite his back, Juice tries to follow-up, but when Jay grabs onto the ref and Juice runs to the ropes, it's Gedo with a kendo stick to the back that settles Juice back down. Jay continues the assault from there.
Jay continues to assault Juice, making sure to distract the ref a couple times to allowing Gedo time to choke or attack Juice from behind. Eventually, it appears that he struck one too many times as Shingo Takagi comes out from the back, making his return to New Japan. Gedo notices this and tries to calm him down. Gedo tries to attack him with the kendo stick, but Shingo takes it and starts wailing on the weasel with it. Jay notices this and takes a Pulp Friction, which only nets him a two!
The end comes when Shingo gets Gedo away. The ref is distracted with this, allowing Yujiro Takahashi to run out from the crowd. He nails Juice down low with his cane, allowing Jay to hit a quick Blade Runner to signal the end.
Winner: Jay White at 11:23
After the match, Jay, Yujiro, and Gedo celebrate with the NEVER Openweight Title. However, Shingo grabs a mic.
Shingo Takagi: [Switchblade...I don't know if you have noticed...but that championship is mine. I never lost it because I wasn't signed at the time...but now that I'm back...I want a shot.]
Shingo tosses the mic and lets this stew. Jay seems adamant against it, but otherwise is happy for his win tonight.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Kimihiko introduces Ishii first who gets a huge pop from the crowd. He brings along his NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Title that he won at Dominion. Kevin tries to needle Rocky that it's Chaos' Japan vs. Chaos' Japan, who makes it clear that this is what Hiroshi Tanahashi has promoted since his leadership.
When Kota Ibushi comes out, he gets an equal amount of cheers. Rocky seems less adamant of supporting Kota's recent actions when compared to Tanahashi, but still supports his fellow stablemate. Gino calls hogwash, but the two don't get into an argument.
G1 Climax Block A Match
Chaos' Japan's Kota Ibushi vs. Chaos' Japan's Tomohiro Ishii
The match is hard-hitting affair, to say the least. Both men hit hard and neither really give the other an inch. For every blow the other hits, the other tries to get one better. It gets so intense that neither man ever leaves the ring. They just focus on pure wrestling and needling the other with strikes.
It's Ibushi who makes the first deviation when he hits a German Suplex on Ishii. The big man is quick to get back up, so Kota hits him with another. With Ishii on the mat, Kota nails him with some roundhouses. It gets to a point where Ishii starts begging Kota to hit him. After the sixth one, Ishii gets up and belly-to-belly suplexes Kota to the mat. When Kota gets up, he suffers a harsh lariat for his troubles. Kota seems out of it, but Ishii brings him back up, hitting another harsh lariat. Ishii goes for a third one, but Kota kicks him in the arm before hitting a roundhouse that takes them both to the mat.
The match continues with both men nailing strikes and slams to the other. It seems neither man can really get the better of the other, with Chris suggesting that maybe the agreed to this backstage. Ishii eventually catches a roundhouse, nailing a lariat to Kota. Ishii goes for a Brainbuster, but Kota gets behind him, hitting another German Suplex. Kota grabs both of Ishii's arms, but the thicker man gets up and headbutts Kota in the face. Kota responds with one of his own. The two trade a few more headbutts while Kota has Ishii's wrists. It's when Kota lets one hand go and hits Ishii with a kick to the head mid-headbutt that Ishii hits his knees. Kota grabs the other wrist and nails a Kamigoye. It takes him a while to climb on Ishii and hook the leg, which is more than enough time for Ishii to kick out at two!
Kota tries for a Golden Star Powerbomb, but Ishii reverses it into a Air Raid Crash which plants Kota on his head. Ishii goes for it, but Kota kicks out! Ishii hits a Brainbuster, but Kota kicks out at one! He gets right back on his feet and starts feeling it, but a quick lariat take Kota to the mat.
The end comes when Ishii nails two more lariats to Kota before hitting a Brainbuster to him and Ishii actually keeps him down.
Winner: Tomohiro Ishii at 17:34
After the match, Ishii and Kota shake hands with the latter bowing to him. He is helped to the back by young lions. Ishii is also beat up but goes to the back on his own.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Kimihiko introduces PAC first who gets a decent set of boos. The quartet at the announce desk bring up his recent challenge to Hiromu Takahashi for the Junior Heavyweight Title which has gone unanswered by both the champion and Harold Meij.
Curt Hennig comes out with a more subdued and mixed reaction. His loss at Dominion was a tough one as the quartet are quick to bring up.
G1 Climax Block A Match
Curt Hennig vs. PAC
In a match that some might call bad guy vs. bad guy, it's actually a fairly respectable affair. They trade holds and lock-ups for a good while with Curt coming out on top. It frustrates PAC to the point where he enzuguries Curt in the head.
From there, PAC really starts focusing on Curt's head, kicking it and hitting high angle suplexes a lot. Despite the repeated assault, Curt still kicks out. It reaches an apex when PAC Tombstones Curt for a two count! PAC goes for a Black Arrow, but Curt moves, sending PAC to the mat. Curt then starts bringing the assault to PAC.
The end comes when PAC reverses a Perfect-plex into a Tombstone. PAC hits a Black Arrow and goes a Rings of Saturn. Curt manages to etch out just enough to roll PAC up for the three.
Winner: Curt Hennig at 13:21
After the match, PAC is not happy and tries to make it known, arguing with anybody he can see and beating on a few young lions.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
With the final match approaching, Kimihiko first introduces Hiroshi Tanahashi who gets the loudest pop of the night. He is cheered all the way down to the ring. Kevin again tries to bring up Chaos' Japan's problems--focusing this time on Hiroshi's interference at Dominion costing Kota Ibushi the NEVER Openweight Title. When Rocky tries to argue, it's Gino who interrupts and lays down the facts that Hiroshi has caused the most problems for the Tag Champs. Rocky seems like he's siding with Hiroshi in the grand scheme of the argument.
It quickly comes to a close as Kimihiko introduces Tetsuya Naito next. The double champion comes out to a big that's almost as loud but not quite as much as Hiroshi's. The quartet congratulate Naito on winning at Dominion before moving on to the present match at hand.
G1 Climax Block A Match
Los Ingobernables de Japon's Tetsuya Naito vs. Chaos' Japan's Hiroshi Tanahashi
These two are repsectful to each other and show each other a "can you top this" for the start of the bout. Both men hit each other with their build-up moves, but neither keep the other down long enough. Twist and Shout, Dragon Screw by Hiroshi. Enzuguri, Catapult Dropkick by Naito. Things quickly take a toll for the worst as Naito is launched over the top. Hiroshi goes for a High Fly Flow, but Naito moves, sending the Ace through the English announce table.
After some moments of EMTs making sure he's alright, Hiroshi is quickly brought back into the ring by Naito, who wastes no time in taking advantage. Naito begins working Hiroshi over with various holds, making sure to keep the Ace to the mat as much as he can. Eventually, Hiroshi breaks out and hits a Sling Blade. Hiroshi tries to go up top, but its Naito who catches him with a top rope victory roll bomb to send him to the mat. Hiroshi kicks out and Naito starts getting frustrated. Naito goes for a Destino, but Hiroshi reverses it into a sit-out powerslam. Tetsuya kicks out, but quickly finds himself in a Sling Blade.
Hiroshi starts getting into it, ignoring the pain and taking it to the champ. Another Sling Blade takes Naito down and allows Hiroshi to hit a High Fly Flow which Naito kicks out of! Hiroshi goes up top for another, but Naito moves. Naito goes up top and goes for a Stardust Press, but this time Hiroshi moves. Sling Blade to Naito. Hiroshi goes up top, but Naito crotches him. The two duke it out up top, but Hiroshi shoves Naito off, sending Red Shoes to the mat. High Fly Flow to Naito but there is no ref.
It's at this point the Organization--all five members--rush out from the crowd. Two of them nail Naito with a Springboard Hart Attack while the one with the pipe beats down on Hiroshi. Santos, Liger, and Tiger run out and run interference long enough to get three of them out of there, but the remaining two slink back in. Ishii runs and deals with one, taking him back through the crowd. Kevin notes that there's no Ibushi as the pipe wielding Organization member goes for Naito. Naito catches the arm and hits him with a Destino, getting him out of the ring.
The end comes when Naito grabs the lead pipe and teases hitting Hiroshi with it. He declines and throws the pipe away, hitting him with a Destino that ends the match.
Winner: Tetsuya Naito at 18:57
After the match, Naito and Hiroshi shake hands before Naito thanks the fans for coming out. He then celebrates with his two titles to end the night.
