WCW Presents: Bash at the Beach
Friday, July 31st, 2020
AmericanAirlines Arena: Miami, Florida
Schiavone: Ladies and gentlemen, the time is nigh! Welcome to WCW Bash at the Beach! I’m Tony Schiavone joined alongside my broadcast partners Mike Tenay and Jim Ross!
Tenay: Tony, tonight is a historic night! WCW’s is officially back and we’ll be crowning both a WCW Women’s Champion, and a WCW World Heavyweight Champion before the end of the night!
JR: That’s right, we have a packed event for you tonight, and it looks like we are ready for action already.
All the women are currently in the ring except for Britt Baker, who makes her way out on her own terms. Baker, though dressed to wrestle is standing at the top of the entrance ramp holding a microphone.
Baker: That’s right! All you women can wait as I take my time coming down there, and do you know why? It’s because I don’t work here anymore, so I can do whatever the hell I want! It seems WCW Management didn’t see the potential in me, so they decided to move my contract before the company even had its first show, but I’m okay with that. You see, after I beat all of you in the Battle Royal, then tap out that egomaniac Tess Blanchard, I’m going to take the WCW Women’s Championship away from this puissant company, and over to AEW where I’ll be treated as the true star that I am!
As Baker continues to ramble on, insulting the women in the ring, Tony Schiavone gets up from the announce booth and slowly makes his way over to Baker.
Schiavone: Britt, I’ve just been giving word by WCW Management that you are no longer in this match. It appears you’ve been replaced and you’re requested to leave the building immediately.
Baker: What? There must be some misunderstanding Tony, I’m supposed to win this match, you can’t replace me, I replace you! I replace all of you!
Baker continues to yell though inaudibly now as her microphone has been cut and security are now escorting her out of the arena as the women in the match laugh and chant in joy. Schiavone then heads back to his place at the announce booth as we all await the Baker’s replacement, the 10th and final entrant in the Women’s Battle Royal.
It’s Charlotte Flair! Charlotte is here, and she’s officially entered the Battle Royal!
Match #1: 10-Woman Battle Royal
Winner Will Face Tessa Blanchard for the WCW Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss vs. Allie vs. Big Swole vs. Carmella vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Io Shirai vs. Penelope Ford vs. Maria vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Zelina Vega
Half the women immediately rush Charlotte once the bell rings, looking to eliminate the biggest threat first, but Charlotte manages to fend for herself, fighting most of the women off and the try to back her in to the corner. With Charlotte now backed in the corner, the other women have seemingly found a way to get the jump on her, rushing to try and eliminate her quickly. Maria, who is outside of the scuffle, sees an opportunity for a major elimination and comes charging towards the corner, but is caught off-guard by Rhea Ripley who quickly turns and uses her momentum to send Maria over the top rope for the first elimination of the night.
Maria has been Eliminated!
Ripley then ties up with Big Swole who is looking for a challenge as the two veer off from the commotion around Charlotte and begin to battle it out themselves on the opposite side of the ring. As Ripley and Swole trade some hard shots, Charlotte has managed to push Alexa Bliss back and leaps out of the corner, leveling her with a Spear before rolling away from any extra danger as Io Shirai and Penelope Ford both lunge after her. Zelina Vega goes to the top rope, which everyone knows is the giant no-no in these types of matches, and before she can do anything, is knocked off the apron by Allie, sending her tumbling to the floor.
Zelina Vega has been Eliminated!
Allie celebrates her surprise elimination as the commentary team mention she is the biggest underdog in this match due to her unknown wrestling abilities as compared to the other women still in the ring. As Allie continues to cheer for herself, like she just won the match, she is quickly sent over the top rope by both Penelope Ford and Carmella who had seemingly seen enough of her antics.
Allie has been Eliminated!
Seeing her opportunity, Penelope tries to send Carmella over the top rope as well, but Carmella manages to get a foot on the middle rope, pushing back and stopping Ford’s momentum. Angry, Carmella turns around to confront Ford who is now backing up in fear, pleading for forgiveness. As Penelope continues to back up, she back right in to Charlotte Flair, who grabs her by the hair and sends her flying over the top rope. At the same time, Alexa Bliss grabs Carmella’s tights from behind and sends her over the ropes as well!
Penelope Ford has been Eliminated!
Carmella has been Eliminated!
We’ve now reached the halfway point of this match as 5/10 women are now gone. Charlotte and Bliss stand face to face in the middle of the ring, while Ripley and Swole are continuing to do whatever it takes to eliminate the other in the opposite corner. Sensing an opportunity to strike now, Io Shirai attacks Bliss from behind before Bliss and Charlotte could come to blows. She grabs Bliss and drags her over to the ropes, attempting to eliminate her, but Bliss is smart enough to use her own dead weight to her advantage, hugging the bottom rope so that Shirai can’t lift her over the ropes. Io lets out a scream of frustration before turning around to Charlotte who absolutely levels her with a big boot to the face, causing Io Shirai to stumble back, and trip over Alexa Bliss, falling over the top rope in the process.
Io Shirai has been Eliminated!
We are now down to the final 4 competitors in this match. Ripley has broken free of Swole and tossed her over the top, but Swole manages to hold on to the ropes, saving herself from elimination. Not seeing this, Ripley has turned her attention over to Charlotte, someone she’s had a history with in the past as the two women begin to trade words, which then quickly turn in to some heavy blows in the center of the ring. Charlotte and Ripley continue to slug it out while Swole and Bliss have slowly manages to regain some composer of their own. Bliss is the first one to strike, charging towards Charlotte and hitting her with a crossbody! Bliss goes to grab Charlotte, but is stopped by Ripley, who didn’t appreciate Bliss interrupting their battle. Bliss turns and slaps Ripley hard across the face, which doesn’t sit well with her. Ripley then slaps Bliss back, causing her to stumble as Rhea moves in for an elimination. Rhea tries to toss Bliss over the top, but Bliss hold on to Rhea, sending her over as well. The two women then proceed to battle it out on the ring apron, each trying to eliminate each other until Big Swole, seeing her opportunity, comes out of nowhere and nails both Bliss and Ripley with a dropkick, sending both women crashing to the floor.
Alexa Bliss has been Eliminated!
Rhea Ripley has been Eliminated!
We are down to the final two women in this match, as the winner will be receiving an immediate WCW Women’s Championship match against Tessa Blanchard at the conclusion of this contest. Swole and Flair each wait for the other to get to their feet and offer a show of sportsmanship to each other as the broadcast team can be heard stating their surprise that Big Swole has made it this far, before building her as a legitimate threat. Charlotte and Swole go at it for quite some time, with multiple false eliminations from both women as it’s really anyone’s guess at this point as to who is winning this match. As we pass the 20-minute mark of this opening match, Charlotte rushes Swole for a Big Boot, but Swole moves out of the way, as Charlotte crashes in to the ropes. Seeing her opportunity, Swole dumps Charlotte over the top rope, but Charlotte manages to skin the cat! Feeling her moment, Swole rushes Charlotte, who uses her veteran presence to move just slightly, pulling down on the rope, and sending Swole toppling over the top to the floor below!
Big Swole has been Eliminated!
Winner: Charlotte Flair @ 21:37
Charlotte doesn’t have much time to celebrate her hard fought victory though as Tessa Blanchard quickly makes her way out to the ring for the WCW Women’s Championship match which is scheduled to take place right away!
Match #2: Singles Match
WCW Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair vs. Tessa Blanchard
Both Charlotte and Tessa come out of the gates flying in this one, as the story of the match is focused on Charlotte’s 20 + minutes in the Battle Royal, while Tessa is a fresh superstar and shows it while taking advantage of the match early on. Neither woman is willing to give an inch as they both showcase their amazing technical ability in way that draw screams of excitement from an otherwise mellow Jim Ross on commentary. Charlotte nails Tessa with a Big Boot and goes for the first real cover of the contest, but Blanchard is able to kick up at the count of 2! We see Charlotte Flair now gain some control of the match following the pin attempt as she fights back her exhaustion in order to work over her opponent with her sights firmly set on being the first WCW Women’s Champion. Seeing an opportunity to put it away, Charlotte goes for a Spear and lands it on Blanchard but as the referee counts, Tessa manages to just get her foot on the ropes the break the count at 2! Beginning to grow frustrated, Charlotte goes for the Figure-8, but Tessa clips the knee for Charlotte with a hard kick that stumbles her back, rendering her susceptible for a Buzzsaw which puts Charlotte away for the 3! Tessa Blanchard is your new WCW Women’s Champion!
Winner: Tessa Blanchard @ 15:21
{We get a recap of the events that ended this week’s episode of Being the Elite as Tony, Mike and JR discuss what Killer Kross’ impending arrival could possibly mean for the rest of the WCW roster.}
When we return from the video, Kip Sabian is standing in the ring along with his fiancé Penelope Ford is who showing some of the effects of her participation in the Women’s Battle Royal at the beginning of the show. Sabian doesn’t do much pandering to the crowd, but instead wants to get down to business as he’s looking for an opponent for tonight. There’s a long pause at it seems no one is willing to accept his open challenge, which seems to discourage Sabian, who demands an opponent immediately.
Biff Naked’s cover of “We’re Not Gonna Take It” blares over the arena speakers as David Arquette makes his way out to the ring, accompanied by his tag team partner RJ City with both men dressed for action. City is in the ring first followed by David Arquette who is met with a thunderous laugh from Kip Sabian! Sabian questions Arquette’s sanity for returning to wrestling at this age before accusing WCW of making the same mistakes that put them out of business before. Sabian asks Arquette and City which man is challenging him before offering to take them both on as he’s feeling incredibly over confident. Arquette snatches the microphone out of Sabian’s hands and tell him that not only do they both accept his challenge, but there is a third person who would be interested in joining the match as well if Sabian feels as confident as he’s acting. Over the moon, Sabian assumes Arquette and City’s third partner is Courtney Cox and immediately accepts their proposal as Arquette City announce their partner.
It’s Keith Lee! Lee makes his way to the ring as Sabian looks like he’s seen a ghost!
Match #3: Kip Sabian Open Challenge Match
Kip Sabian vs. Arquette City & Keith Lee
This match is exactly what you think it would be, as Sabian charges at Lee who starts the match. Lee shoulder tackles Sabian so hard that Tony Schiavone swears he saw his soul leave his body. Lee then picks Sabian up and slams him down with the Spirit Bomb before tagging in David Arquette who nails Sabian with The Worm to pick up the pinfall victory in a quick but entertaining segment. After the match, Lee celebrates with RJ City and David Arquette while the stand over the nearly lifeless body of Kip Sabian.
Winners: Arquette City & Keith Lee by pinfall @ 3:11
{As WCW officials try to pry Kip Sabain from off the mat, we head to a video packing recapping Seth Rollins’ challenge to Dustin Rhodes, and Rhodes’ reponse.}
Match #4: Singles Match
Dustin Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins
Rhodes is out to the ring with Arn Anderson, as Rollins has the remaining members of The Salvation in tow as well. Before the bell can ring to start this match though, Rhodes asks Arn to head to the back as he wants to go at this one alone. Anderson argues with Rhodes but eventually he reluctantly agrees and heads to the back. Rollins, impressed with Rhodes’ bravery orders The Salvation to the back as well, before stopping them and telling Buddy Murphy to stay, much to the dismay of both Dustin Rhodes and the WCW audience. This match starts off poorly for Rhodes who looks like the much slower veteran against a younger and more agile Seth Rollins. Rollins dominates for large portions of the match, working over Rhodes while taunting him for being “lost” and “alone”. Finally Rhodes is able to gets some offense back after a quick thrusting uppercut to the jugular of Rollins, which causes him to hit the mat quickly and illicits a roar from the crowd who are firmly behind Dustin. Rollins tries to retreat from the ring, but Dustin grabs his feet and pulls him back in, taking his turn now to work over his opponent after feeling the brunt of the offense over the course of this match. With Rollins now in the corner, Rhodes traps his legs in the ropes, and signals that he’s going for the Golden Globes, but before he can, Buddy Murphy jumps up on to the apron to cause a distraction for both Dustin and the referee. While this is happening, Austin Theory is seen running back to the ring to quickly help Rollins free himself from the ropes. Having enough of Murphy, Dustin nails him with a hard right, knocking him off the apron and turns his attention back to Rollins. Rollins, now free from the ropes, meets Rhodes with a low kick that the referee just misses, sending Rhodes down to the mat in pain. With Rhodes now down and hurt, Rollins sets up for The Stomp, which he nails before covering Rhodes for the 3 count victory.
Winner: Seth Rollins by pinfall @ 13:57
Immediately following the match, Rollins demands Theory grab him a microphone from Justin Roberts at ringside and hand it to him.
Rollins: Moxley, I know you have a very important match tonight, but I hope you’re watching closely right now. This….This is what happens to those who are lost, those who are without a home, without a family! I’ve given you long enough to think about my offer, but tonight is the night that you tell me if you walk with The Salvation, or against us. Now Mox, I’m a very patient man so I’m going to give you until after your match tonight before you need to give me an answer, but just in case you need more time to make up your mind between now and then….
Rollins drops the microphone and kicks Dustin Rhodes in the head as he tries to crawl out of the ring. Immediately after the first strike, Austin Theory and Buddy Murphy pounce on Rhodes, proceeding to beat him down while he struggles to fight back. After beating the fight out of Rhodes, Rollins nails him with another Stomp before The Salvation leave the ring while the broadcast team can be heard questioning Rhodes’ decision to accept this match in the first place.
{We continue the trend of recapping Being the Elite episodes to set up the next match as we see comments from Matt Cardona and Randy Savage regarding their match tonight.}
Match #5: Singles Match
“Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Matt Cardona
Cardona is really leaving his past persona in the past as he enters the ring to his new theme song “Leave the Past Behind” Downstrait and enters this match looking more focused than he ever has. Savage on the other hand his is usual showboating self, looking like this match is nothing more than the same for him, which visibly irritates Cardona. These two tie up early and often with both men demonstrating their own personal power with some old school 80’s era wrestling holds, though the fans may not appreciate what they’re seeing as the match does move at a very slow pace. Things do begin to pick up eventually as Cardona, seeing he’s not going to get far wrestling Savage’s style, tries adjust to a quicker and more physical style, which does momentarily work to his advantage, though Randy Savage is a true professional and doesn’t take too long to find a way back on top in this match. We get some technical wrestling from Savage, though nothing too flashy as he now firmly places himself in control of the match. A piledriver attempt by Savage is reversed by Cardona who manages to get Savage in the corner before nailing him with what used to be a “Broski Boot” though is referred to by Tony Schiavone as a Helluva Kick in this instance. Cardona then takes Savage down to the mat with a beautiful executed snap DDT before signaling he’s going up top for the Elbow Drop. Cardona leaps off the top rope and lands square in to the heart of Savage, pinning him as the referee counts 1……2……..NOOOOO! Savage gets a shoulder up and the crowd pops! Cardona can’t believe it as he quickly argues the call with the referee, but doesn’t spent too much time with his focus off the match. He quickly moves back up to the top to set for another Elbow, but Savage manages to get to his feet and press slams Cardona off the turnbuckle to the mat below! With Cardona down, Savage heads to the top rope and drops and Elbow Drop of his own, this one landing as well as Savage covers Cardona for the victory.
Winner: Randy Savage by pinfall @ 12:44
{The sound of motorcycles can be heard in the background, accompanied by Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild” as we get a brief video package announcing WCW’s next PPV.}
WCW Presents: ROAD WILD
Saturday, August 29th, 2020
Sturgis Motorcycle Rally: Sturgis, South Dakota
Match #6: Tag Team Match
JML vs. The Young Bucks
This is your typical spot fest tag team match that you’ve come to enjoy from a team like The Young Bucks, only more impressive as JML’s Isaiah Scott and David Starr are both just as athletic and capably of matching their every move. JML manages to get in a lot more offense than one would have expected with their limited international exposure compared to the more established Young Bucks, but it is made very clear from the get go that this match is more about showcasing the abilities of Scott and Starr than it is about giving The Jackson brothers an easy debut win. We do however get the expected outcome of this match after a Meltzer Driver on to David Starr helps The Young Bucks seal a very impressive victory in WCW’s first tag team contest of the night.
Winners: The Young Bucks by pinfall @ 17:52
There seems to be no time for The Young Bucks to celebrate their tag victory tonight as the music of The Revival begins to play almost immediately after the bell, bringing out Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder who are ready to showcase their own tag team skills. The Revival and The Young Bucks share some words on the ramp in passing, but nothing comes of it for now as these two teams continue to tease some distension between them.
Match #7: Tag Team Match
The Revival vs. Motor City Machine Guns
This match is by far the better of the two tags with two of the most experienced teams in the company worker together for the first time ever. Revival try to keep the Machine Guns grounded as they bring their “No Flips, Just Fists” moniker to life using old school power moves, technical wrestling a frequent tags to isolate Alex Shelley in their corner. The excessive showboating though does prove costly to them as Shelley is able to use this to his advantage, rolling himself out of Revivals corner and making the hot tag to his partner Chris Sabin. Being the fresh body, Sabin is able to use his speed to create enough separation to drive the offense in MCMG’s favour as they not look like the team in control by the midway point of this match. A failed Cradle Shock by Sabin allows Dash Wilder to slip back and make a tag to Scott Dawson who immediately charges the ring, knocking Alex Shelley off the apron before both men nail Sabin with the Shatter Machine allowing Dawson to cover him for the 3 count victory.
Winners: The Revival by pinfall @ 15:26
{We head backstage to Charly Caruso who is standing by with 1/4th of our Main Event, former AEW Champion, Jon Moxley.}
Caruso: Ladies and gentlemen, Jon Moxley. Jon, later tonight you’ll be taking on 3 other superstars for an opportunity to be named WCW World Heavyweight Champion. How is your mindset going in to this match?
Moxley: Charly, I’m ready! I’ve been ready since the moment my name was called, and nothing has changed. I left AEW as the World Champion, and I’ll pick up where I left off here in WCW after tonight! It doesn’t matter if it’s Moose, Rush or Nick Aldis in my way, I’m willing to BOWL them all over! Tonight, I step in to the ring with 3 other superstars, but they step in to the asylum with ME!
Caruso: What about Seth Rollins? Will you be joining The Salvation at the end of tonight’s show?
Moxley: Seth, just pay close attention. I’ll see you after the match!
Match #8: Singles Match
Daniel Bryan vs. Angel Garza w/ Zelina Vega & Andrade
If this is the closest we as wrestling fans ever get to seeing Daniel Bryan vs. Eddie Guerrero, then so be it as this match had the potential to be a Match of the Year candidate already. Bryan and Garza both meshed their styles so well, you’d like Garza was 10 year older as he’s an absolute magician in the ring. The story on the outside of the ring was a jealous Andrade who feels he should have been the man Bryan picked to wrestle him tonight, but thankfully for everyone, Andrade does not get involved in this match at all, allowing for both men to truly shine with each other. A missed Knee Plus from Bryan allows Garza to nail the Wing Clipper for what may be the biggest near fall of his young career so far, even the crowd though he’d stolen that one there! Garza’s arrogance after almost putting Bryan away slowly begins to be his Achilles heel though, as Garza begins to showboat more often, especially to Andrade while Zelina screams from the outside to stay focused. Garza goes so another Wing Clipper to try and but away Bryan, but being the excellent ring technician he is, Bryan manages to grab a leg of Garza, sweep out of it and lock him in the LeBell Lock. Garza tries crawling to the ropes, but Bryan manages to keep him just far enough away that he has no choice but to tap out ending an incredibly memorable first encounter between these two superstars.
Winner: Daniel Bryan by submission @ 18:31
After the match, Bryan helps Garza up to his feet and congratulates him on a very hard fought victory. Garza looking defeated shrugs Bryan off, but Bryan stops him and offers him is hand. Garza thinks about it for a moment before shaking Bryan’s hand much to the pleasure of the crowd. Enrages, Andrade slides in to the ring and pulls Garza away from Bryan as the two have words over Andrade’s displeasure with Bryan and Garza’s mutual respect. Bryan watches from the ring as Andrade and Angel Garza argue on their way back up the ramp.
{The Salvation are shown watching the events from a monitor backstage as the commentary team remind us that after the Main Event, Seth Rollins will be coming out to get an answer from Jon Moxley regarding whether or not he is joining The Salvation.}
{We get a video package recapping the WCW return press conference that confirmed tonight’s event as well as the Main Event.}
Main Event: Fatal 4-Way Match
WCW World Heavyweight Championship
RUSH vs. Nick Aldis vs. Moose vs. Jon Moxley
Here we are, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Who walks out of Bash at the Beach WCW’s first World Heavyweight Champion? The commentary team do a great job putting over the career accomplishments of all 4 men in this match, although the clear favourites have always been Moxley and Aldis as the two are the most established superstars in this match. Things start off fairly quickly with Moose dominating in the early portion of this match, looking like the most focused man in the world as he takes down Aldis immediately after the bell rings with a No Jackhammer Needed before turning his attention to Moxley as both men begin to trade stiff shots in a brawl that eventually see’s both men go over the ropes and to the floor. Seeing an opportunity to strike early, RUSH covers Aldis, but he is able to kick out quickly. RUSH works over Aldis in the ring only momentarily, as Aldis is able to gain control and begins fights back with some quick and powerful shots, that have RUSH backed in to a corner. On the outside it appears Moxley and Moose have forgotten about the match as these two appear content to just brawl around the outside of the ring, each man trying to beat the living hell out of the other much to the crowd’s amusement. Eventually, Moose manages to gain some control of the brawl and sends Moxley in to the barricade, before sending him in to the steel steps. Moose then rolls back in to the ring to join RUSH and Aldis as Moxley is now down on the outside. Aldis, who is still working on RUSH, see’s Moose coming back in to the ring, and leaves RUSH in order to try and extract some revenge on Moose for his attack at the beginning of the match. This allows RUSH to free himself from the corner and climb the top rope, looking to dive down on both his opponents, but it’s Moose who pushes Aldis out of the way, catches RUSH and plans him down hard on the mat in an amazing sequence. Moose covers RUSH, but the pinfall is broken up by Aldis who jumps on Moose’s back in an attempt to try and choke him out. Moose struggles to get Aldis off his back as it looks like the powerhouse is slowly beginning to fade, but is saved by Jon Moxley who slides back in to the ring and begins wailing on Aldis with a barrage of rights and lefts, causing Aldis to break the hold in order to defend himself. That match continues at this rapid pace for quite some time as all 4 men continue to take turns controlling this match, though RUSH really seemed to stand out due to his relative differences in size and experience as compared to the other 3 men. As this match eclipses the 25-minute mark, you can see the fatigue starting to creep in on the competitors, especially Moose who although having an NFL background, is slowly starting to fade due to exhaustion. Seeing an opportunity to try and put this match away, Moose charges at an unsuspecting Jon Moxley, going for the No Jackhammer Needed, but Mox moves at the last second, and Moose nails RUSH instead! Moxley then quickly grabs Moose, nailing him with the Paradigm Shift, before going for the cover, but before he can, Nick Aldis grabs Moxley and tosses him over the top rope, quickly pounces on Moose as the referee counts 1……2…….3! We have our first WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and it’s the last pick in the GWA TW draft, Nick Aldis!
Winner: Nick Aldis by pinfall @ 28:47
Aldis celebrates his WCW Championship victory as the crowd boo’s, but Aldis’ in ring celebration is cut short as an enraged Jon Moxley slides back in to the ring, only to have Aldis retreat quickly and begin heading up the entrance ramp with his newly won World Championship.
Moxley stands alone in the ring, looking dejected, but he’s not alone for very long as The Salvation’s music begins to play from the arena speakers, bringing out Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory who will now finally get answer from Jon Moxley. As The Salvation head to the ring, Tony Schiavone and Mike Tenay discuss why tonight’s loss should make Moxley’s decision easier, while JR stands his ground on his prediction that Jon Moxley will continue to be a “Lone Wolf” in WCW.
Rollins: Jon, tough break my man, you had it so close and it was in your grasp! If only you had a set of eyes on the back of your head at the moment Mox, or even better, a couple friends to watch your back for you, we could be standing here with the WCW World Heavyweight Champion! Unfortunately Jon, you wanted to wait until tonight to make your decision, which means you have no one to blame for your loss but yourself! Moxley, you’re all alone here and you just proved to everyone that you can’t do it by yourself, you need your brothers, you need a family! It’s decision time Jon, are you in, or are you out?
Moxley: You’re right Seth….I couldn’t do it on my own....If I had someone watching my back, I would be WCW World Heavyweight Champion right now…and now I’m not…
Rollins: Aha! See that’s what I like to hear Jon! You’re coming to your senses, you’re speaking the truth! You belong here with us Jon, this is a home for you. I open my arms to you my brother, welcome to The Salvation!
Rollins opens his arms to embrace Moxley, but Jon stays where he is.
Moxley: Seth, you didn’t let me finish. I said if I had someone watching my back, I’d be WCW Champion right now, but I wouldn’t deserve it! I’d have to come out here every week as the Champion knowing I’ve had someone else fight my battles for me, and that wouldn’t sit well with me Seth. We’ve been down this road together many times, and you know I deal with my issues on my own, not like you. I understand why you’re happy with your 2 stooges following you around, helping you any time you need it because you’ve always been that way. The Shield, The Authority, you need people watching your back, because you can’t do it on your own. I became WWE Champion without The Shield, I won the AEW Championship on my own, and I’ll win the WCW Championship on my own as well. I made my decision Rollins, I’m out, it was never even a consideration!
Rollins: You’re out?!
Moxley: YEAH, I’M OUT!
Rollins: Jon, need I remind you of what happened to Dustin Rhodes earlier tonight?
Moxley: What are you going to do Seth, beat me up?
Rollins: Jon, Jon. You know I would never lay a hand on you my brother, but they would!
Almost on command, Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory rush Moxley, but Mox is ready for then, sending Theory over the ropes to the outside before quickly nailing Murphy with a Paradigm Shift! Moxley gets up to his feet quickly while hurling insults at Buddy Murphy as Seth Rollins can be seen sneaking up on Moxley. Before Rollins can attack though, Moxley turns around, catching Rollins by surprise! Moxley can be heard making a comment about having eyes on the back of his head and he walks towards Rollins, who begins to back up, eventually finding himself in a corner. Moxley slowly inches closer as Rollins pleads with Moxley not to attack him. Moxley steps towards Rollins again, when suddenly the lights in the arena go off!
Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux appear at the top of the entrance ramp to the roar of a surprised WCW crowd. The Camera also shows the surprised reactions of both Jon Moxley and Seth Rollins, neither of whom had any idea Kross was even hear tonight by the looks of things. Kross slowly enters the ring as Scarlett chooses to stay on the outside. Moxley and Kross exchange glances, before Kross shoots a look at Seth Rollins as well. The crowd is beside themselves at this point as even the broadcast team is barely audible through the television speakers for those watching at home. Rollins stays in the corner as Moxley begins to exchange words with Kross. Moxley, showing no fear takes a step towards Killer Kross who very quickly grabs Moxley and plants him on the mat with a Doomsday Saito!
Kross then picks Moxley up and hits another Saito, and another, and ANOTHER! The crowd watches on booing as Kross takes more and more fight out of Moxley with each Doomsday Saito he executes, before Moxley is seemingly out cold, or very close to it. Kross then turns his attention to Rollins, who is now standing halfway out of the ring watching in pure awe as Kross quickly drops to a knee and locks Moxley in the Kross Jacket, squeezing the hold until Moxley is officially unconscious.
Not wanting to suffer the same fate, Rollins has left the ring and is slowly retreating up the ramp along with Theory and Murphy as everyone looks on in complete shock. WCW’s Bash at the Beach PPV slowly fades to a close with Killer Kross standing over the lifeless body of Jon Moxley as WCW’s announce team is left speechless.
***THE END***
