NWA Powerrr #3
Location: GPB Studios in Atlanta, GA
Lights, camera, action! We get a shot of the GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia where the NWA fans are ready for some incredible wrestling action! There is nothing like studio wrestling and the intimate, closed-set feeling of the NWA is in full swing for this epic episode.
We open up with a pre-recorded promo from Tony Nese. Nese says being in the NWA is like a dream to him. He puts over the NWA's history before talking about his opponent tonight - Scott Steiner. Nese says Steiner's old and washed up and he's going to make an example out of him and prove why he should be considered for a chance in the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship tournament.

Match 1
Scott Steiner v. Tony Nese
In a battle of the bodies, Tony Nese tried stalling the physicality in this match by trying to “out-flex” Scott Steiner. Steiner had no time for this behavior, however, and knocked Nese on his ass with a huge Steinerline to start the match. A few punches to the head, another Steinerline, and the Steiner Recliner led to The Big Bad Booty Daddy making quick work of Tony Nese.
Winner: Scott Steiner at 4:21
We go backstage to our official correspondent, Tazz, with an update on the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Tazz makes it clear that fans need to tune in until the end of this broadcast when Billy Corgan will officially announce how he plans on filling the vacancy of the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship!
The legendary George South emerges from the curtain to a chorus of boos from the NWA faithfuls. South walks up to the podium as Dave Marquez looks surprised. South wastes no time going to town on the mic.
“Listen to you fat, no-good scumbags showing your disrespectful attitude towards me! SHUT UP!”
This elicits more boos from the audience.
“Shut up, fat boy! You’re nothin’ but a fat piece of trash! Your mom’s a pig!”
South shakes his head in disgust as he continues on with his promo.
“Listen Marquez, Ricky Starks says he’s a fightin’ champion and well I’m gonna put that theory to the test! George South is back in here in the N…DUBYA…A! And once I beat Ricky Starks, that weird little boy, I’ll be here for a long time! And all you people in the audience can pound sand if ya don’t like it!”
Match 2
NWA Television Championship
Ricky Starks v. George South
Ricky Starks seemed a bit perplexed at the start of this match, being caught off guard by the appearance of the grizzled veteran George South. This just proves that you can never know what to expect in the NWA! The match itself started with George South leaving the ring, pushing the referee’s ten count. As soon as South slid back into the ring, Ricky went on the offense but George South was able to use dirty tactics such as an eye poke, ring rope rake, and nose pulling to maintain the advantage over Starks. However, Starks was able to get his momentum back with a big dropkick, which eventually led to him hitting The Stroke for the victory over the NWA legend!
Winner and still NWA Television Champion: Ricky Starks at 5:42
After the match, just like last week, Zicky Dice emerges from the curtain. He just stands there, staring at a worn out Ricky Starks. Zicky teases that he’s going to enter the ring, but instead, turns around and leaves as the fans boo! We cut to commercial.

Match 3
Apollo Crews v. Bully Ray
The NWA National Champion Apollo Crews has been on a hot streak until he met his match last week against Samoa Joe who was able to defeat him via Cocquina Clutch. In this match, Apollo wasted no time trying to get his momentum back. Although the more experienced Bully Ray was able to control a lot of this match, Crews’ offense was just too versatile for Ray to keep up with. Crews was able to hit The Chariot (a big spinout power bomb) on Bully Ray for the win!
Winner: Apollo Crews at 7:41
After the match, Samoa Joe rushed the ring and began assaulting Crews! Security quickly filled the ring to pull Joe off of Crews. Joe could be heard yelling “that title is mine!” as we faded to a video package highlighting upcoming NWA events.
We go backstage and find the Inner Circle up to their usual shenanigans - well, all but Chris Jericho who was sitting in the corner of the locker room unamused. Jericho stood up and demanded that things start changing in the NWA, and warned his stable-mates that they need to get their act together before storming off.
Match 4
Ron “The Truth” Killings v. Rusev
A former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion in his own right, Ron Killings certainly had the drive in this match to overcome the larger opponent in Rusev. Although new to the NWA, Rusev seemed more comfortable than ever in the ring as he dealt brutal offense to The Truth. For each set of offense Rusev had towards the middle of the match, Truth had an answer using a combination of aerial attacks and unmatched agility to regain the upper hand in the match. The finish of the match saw Rusev attempt to hit a Gorilla Press Slam on Truth, but Truth wriggled free, kicked Rusev in the gut, and his an explosive corkscrew ax kick to the back of Rusev for the victory.
Winner: Ron “The Truth” Killings at 8:11
We go backstage to find our NWA World Tag Team Champions, Ethan Page and Josh Alexander, collectively known as The North. They take turns speaking on James Storm and Bobby Roode. They say that they find it insulting that an old drunk and a failed stockbroker want a shot at their titles. Page says they’ll give them a shot at the titles if they can go undefeated as a tag team for the next month, starting next week.
“Hello everybody, THIS is OuttttlLLLLANDISH Zicky Dice! I know all my Dice-Iples are wondering, Zicky, when are you going to get a FAIR shot at the NWA Television Title? Well I’m wondering the same thing! This is an official message to Billy Cord…Corn….? Ah hell, whatever his name is! The owner of the NWA! HEY! Outlandish Zicky Dice, best for business! I AM television, MOTHERF***ER!"
Zicky grimaces, realizing he probably shouldn't have said that. After taking a deep breath, Zicky continues.
"Sorry Mr. C., I didn’t mean that….but I deserve another shot, OK?! Let's face it. Every time Ricky Starks is on TV, the ratings drop. What kind of Television Champ is he? It's time to do the right thing - Zicky Dice for Television Champion.”

Match 5
Jax Dane v. Kurt Angle
In what was perhaps Dane’s biggest match to date, he wasted no time laying it in to the legendary Kurt Angle - or as he would refer to him as, an “intruder” who threatens the spirit of the NWA. Angle was able to get in some great offense, really taking it to the larger Dane. At one point in the match, Angle had the ankle lock on Dane, but Dane was able to use his large size to roll forward and throw Angle out of the ring. As the match started to wind down, Angle attempted an Angle Slam on Dane, who was able to counter, knock Angle dizzy, and hit the massive Spear for the victory.
Winner: Jax Dane at 9:56
After the match and with fire in his eyes, Jax Dane walked up to the podium where David Marquez was standing.
“David Marquez, you can step aside because I have some things to say here. I have been in the NWA since it’s resurgence to the mainstream and what the hell kind of opportunities have I had? I had a run with the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title that was cut short because I got screwed! Meanwhile, I JUST DEFEATED AN OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST!
You have to understand something Dave, I’m one of the last few remaining. There ain’t many of me left. I’ve given my blood, sweat, and tears to this company, to this brand, and these fans...only to have a bunch of WWE rejects come in here and steal my spotlight!”
The audience gasps at the name drop of the “Company up north” as Dane continues on.
“And now we’ve got a vacant NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title because ANOTHER WWE reject couldn’t last longer than six months before he found himself in a heap of trouble! And before you start on, Dave - no, I had NOTHING to do with it. The way I see it Dave, that title belongs to ME! I’m an NWA original and I deserve some damn respect around here! If these WWE rejects are so tough, why didn’t Kurt Angle beat me tonight? Or how about Rey Mysterio? Why didn’t Rey come get revenge on me? Oh, that’s right. Rey’s not here tonight because I crushed him last week! That’s fine, I’ll crush another one, just like I crushed Rey! Dammit, I’ll fight ANOTHER match right here…right now!”
Dane drops the mic and slides into the NWA ring, waiting for one of the new members of the NWA roster that he feels is stealing his spotlight. Dane wipes the sweat from his head, still a bit winded from his last match, but ready to fight again nonetheless.

OH MY GOD! We get a shot of The Undertaker making his way out of his vehicle, making a bee line for GPB Studios!
David Marquez: "Uh, Jax, I’m receiving word from my headset here that, uh…it seems like your wishes are about to come true…you wanted a second match, and uh…that’s about to happen…"
The Undertaker steps through the curtain and GPB STUDIOS ERUPTS! The Undertaker takes a moment to soak it in as Jax Dane looks like he’s seen a ghost. The Undertaker surveys the audience before slowly and methodically entering the ring.
“UNDERTAKER! UNDERTAKER! UNDERTAKER!”
Towering over Jax Dane, Taker gets in his face and begins trash talking him. Dane doesn’t seem as aggressive as he did before, intimidated by The Deadman! The Undertaker stared a hole through Jax Dane, knowing that if he could not defeat Dane tonight, that his dreams of the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship may be unattainable, leading to retirement.
Match 6
The Undertaker v. Jax Dane
The Undertaker didn’t waste any time in this match shutting up the whiney NWA original, Jax Dane. Although big compared to the majority of the roster, Dane was short quite a few inches compared to Taker, who had the size advantage in this particular match. Although still a bit winded from him bout with Kurt Angle just minutes ago, Dane tried mounting offense against Taker, but he didn’t get very far. A big combo of strikes, a top rope walk into Old School, a Chokeslam, and then the Last Ride by the Undertaker for his first - and VERY decisive - victory in the National Wrestling Alliance!
Winner: The Undertaker at 5:59
“Hello ladies and gentlemen. It has been a tumultuous couple weeks here in the National Wrestling Alliance. I understand there is a lot of confusion surrounding the status of the most prestigious title in all of wrestling, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
I am happy to announce that I have selected several wrestlers to compete in a tournament here on NWA Power. There will be one tournament match per week leading up to the final showdown for the vacant Championship. The NWA roster has tried - and succeeded - at getting my attention. Based off of a combination of factors, I have selected several names for this tournament. You’ll also see some familiar faces who are previously NWA World Champions who have decided to sign contracts with us. The following will participate in the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship tournament :
Ron “The Truth” Killings
Scott Steiner
Christian Cage
Christian Cage
The Undertaker
Rey Mysterio
Jax Dane
Jeff Jarrett
The tournament begins next week. Make sure to tune in as we continue rebuilding the NWA back to its glory days. Also, tune in to NationalWrestlingAlliance.com for the brackets, to be determined within the next several days. Thank you.”
