Episode #1: "What You've Been Waiting For"
The episode starts with Matt and Nick Jackson walking together through a parking lot.
Nick Jackson: Juuuuuust leaving the WCW press conference.
Matt Jackson: I’d say it was a pretty big success don’t you think Nick?
Nick Jackson: Yeah, I’d so say. Couple big matches announced for Bash at the Beach already, and I believe we have another to announce now as well.
Matt Jackson: That’s right, and it’s a match fan of ours have been asking to see for quite some time, two of the best tag teams in the world today finally meeting at Bash at the Beach.
Nick Jackson: I can’t believe we’re facing these guys after years of teasing this match. Friday July 31st, 2020 it finally happens. WCW has decided to not let the fans wait any longer. The match everyone has been waiting for! The Young Bucks in tag team action against…..
Matt Jackson: The Motor City Machine Guns! Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, what a match, I can’t wait Nick!

We head to an undisclosed backstage location where Big Swole is seen speaking with fellow members of the WCW Women’s Division, Alexa Bliss and Allie.
Allie: Now that it’s official I just can’t contain my excitement anymore!
Swole: I know! I’m so excited too! I can’t wait to get an opportunity to work with you girls.
Bliss: Me too! I hope there’s no hard feeling when I eliminate you both and beat Tessa Blanchard for the WCW Women’s Championship at Bash at the Beach. I mean, it’s just business right?
Before anyone can speak, Tessa Blanchard is seen walking in to view of the camera.
Bliss: Speak of the devil, congratulations Tessa! We were all just talking about how excited we are for the Battle Royal and the opportunity to face you for the inaugural WCW Women’s Championship!
Tessa: Face me? You mean get beaten by me. All you girls are is a roadblock on my way to becoming the WCW Women’s Champion. None of you are even in my league, quit wasting my time!
Tessa goes to leave, but Big Swole stands in her path, not looking too thrilled with Tessa’s comments towards them.
Big Swole: I simple thank you would have been sufficient enough bitch! If you think you’re so bad, why even wait for the Battle Royal winner? I’ll knock your ass out right here right now!
Tessa: **Laughs** Not even worth my time.
Tessa then brushes passed Big Swole and exits the view of the camera as the 3 women stand together looking very unimpressed with their first interactions with Tessa Blanchard.

Savage: DUBYA SEE DUBYA, YEAH! The return of WCW at Bash at the Beach and who better, to usher a new era of World Championship Wrestling then the MACHO MAN! When Eric Bischoff called me to come back to WCW I was OVER THE MOON! Thrilled, excited, couldn’t WAIT to get to business yeah, so I asked Eric, I asked him who my first opponent would be and he told me it was going to be YOU, Matt Cardona! Matt Cardona, I said who the hell is Matt Cardona? but you see the Macho Man doesn’t turn down any challenge no, so I SAID I don’t care who Matt Cardona is, I’ll see him in the ring brother, yeah! The Macho Man decided to watched some tape, because that’s what a true professional does yeah, and I realized, yeah I realised that I knew who he was ALL ALONG yeah! Matt Cardona, Zack Ryder, Brett Major whatever you choose to call yourself next Wednesday IT DOESN’T MATTER! You say you grew up a fan of the Macho Man, well at Bash at the Beach you’ll get the opportunity to be beaten by the same idol you grew up watching yeah! When I drop that elbow on you for the ONE….TWO…THREE in the middle of the ring you realized that The Macho Man’s still got it YEAH! I’ll see you at Bash at the Beach Matt Cardona, OOOOOH YEAAAH!

Cardona: April 16, 2020 was both the worst and best day of my life. On April 16th, I was released by the WWE after 15 years with the company that I grew up idolizing. I had my WrestleMania moment, I won my WWE Championships and I made some great friends along the way, but I was burnt out. I was tired of having to constantly fight and claw for opportunities that were taken away from me even when I had the fans behind me all the way. When I was told I was being let go, it crushed me, but then I felt relieved. I was relieved that I could break away from the name Zack Ryder, I could break free of the feeling of never getting to the level I wanted to be at, and I could be me. That’s why when I signed with WCW as a free agent after going undrafted, I chose to stick with my real name, Matt Cardona because Zack Ryder was a name that was associated with failure, with loss, with coming up short time and time again. Much like WCW is a fresh start for many of us, the name Matt Cardona is a fresh start for me in the business I’ve loved since I was a child. At Bash at the Beach I get to go one-on-one against one of my idols, the Macho Man Randy Savage. As a kid I grew up idolizing Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior. I’ve loved them both so much that I started to use and elbow drop as a finishing move in honor of the Macho Man, so for me it’s a dream come true to step in to the ring with him. Macho, I’ve got nothing but respect for you, but at Bash at the Beach you stand in my way of making a new name for myself, so as much as it will pain me to do so, when I hit my elbow drop and beat you with your very own finishing move in the middle of the ring for a company that you helped put on the map, I’ll finally have rid myself of the burdens of Zack Ryder, and the world will know who Matt Cardona is. You Know it!

Rollins: Jon, Mox, I heard what you said my brother and quite frankly, I was hurt. You think I’ve got too much on my plate for you? You insulted my Disciples Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory when all they want to do is welcome you just like I do. Mox, we’ve had our battles but we’ve also been unstoppable together and what better time to reunite then right now in WCW, a new company, a clean slate! Moxley, when I look at you I see the same thing I saw in Buddy and Theory before they allowed me to save them. You’re lost Jon, a champion without a title. You were ripped away from you spot at the top and dropped in to a new company where you’re expected to fight tooth and nail to claim your spot again, and your only friend is me. Jon, I’m a very patient man, but even I know when opportunity is just too good to pass up, sometimes you need a little push in the right direction. The Salvation wants you to be a part of it Jon, so I’ll give you until Bash at the Beach to give me your answer. If you’re unable to make a decision by July 31st, then I’ll just have to believe that you don’t want to be saved, and that….well Mox, that won’t be fun for either of us. I look forward to hearing from you.
The screen fades to black as we appear to have come to a conclusion on the first episode of Being the Elite, but suddenly, just like at the end of the press conference, an hourglass appears on the screen for a moment before disappearing again.
**THE END**
