WCW Announces Additional Matches for Halloween Havoc! (Friday, October 16th, 2020)
Following the completion of New Japan Pro Wrestling's closing and subsiquent purge of their roster, WCW has announced more matches for their October PPV, Halloween Havoc!
After announcing the signing of highly touted cruiserweight Santos Escobar, WCW have announced the reveal of a long awaited WCW Cruiserweight Championship! To determine the first Cruiserweight Champion, WCW has announced a special 8-Man tag team match that will take place at the PPV. The winning team will then face eachother in a Fatal 4-Way match at a later date to determine who will be the first person to be named WCW Cruiserweight Champion!
Also announced, Two newcomers to WCW will do battle as recent signings The Miz and Hiroshi Tanahashi, who makes his return to the WCW roster following an incredible loss to Nick Aldis at Fall Brawl. Though this match was not labeled as having any championship implications, one would at least assume that the winner of this match would take another step closer to getting some sort of WCW Championship opportuity in the near future.
