To begin this episode, we start with a recap of a video package from NWA.com featuring words from one of the newest members of the NWA roster, The Undertaker!
"There’s a little saying that I’ve kept to myself for some years now. 'If you are living a life with no goals, with no purpose, and you can’t prove that you’re the best damn wrestler out there, that is when it’s time to hang ‘em up.'
That’s why I’m here in the NWA.
When you take away the smoke, when you take away the lights, and the music…what do you have left? Do you still have the Phenom? The man who collected souls and dug holes his entire career, straight to the top? Or are you simple looking at a parody of the man who said he’d live forever because he was already dead?
Don’t get me wrong. Those things are considered legendary in this business and I understand that, that's not lost on me. I’ve nearly killed myself for decades and have suspended disbelief each and every time I stepped on that big stage.
But when you take it all away, what’s left?
The only way I can answer that question for you - and for me - is to say this. If I don’t win the NWA World Heavyweight Title within the next six months…then I think it’s safe to say that this really HAS been…the last ride for The Undertaker."
Lights, camera, action! We get a shot of the GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia where the NWA fans are ready for some incredible wrestling action! There is nothing like studio wrestling and the intimate, closed-set feeling of the NWA is in full swing for this epic episode.
“Folks, welcome to this edition of NWA Power! I’m David Marquez and we’re going to waste no time getting started here tonight. Please welcome my first guest to the podium, the Stroke Daddy, the current reigning NWA Television Champion, Ricky Starks!”
Just as Starks makes his way to the podium, he is quickly interrupted by Zicky Dice!
“Hold on just a finger lickin’ minute! We ALLLL know that Ricky Starks is the biggest LIAR in the history of the National Wrestling Alliance! And we all know that YOU, Ricky, are the LEAST qualified individual to hold that TV belt!”
Ricky smirks and shakes his head before replying to Dice.
“Zicky my man, listen here. You’re so uptight. What’s the matter, is your fanny pack too tight around your waist that its cutting off the oxygen to your brain? I think these NWA faithfuls are getting a liiiittle tired of you parading around here like you own the place. Luckily, I’m ready to move on to bigger and better things here in the NWA. You’ve been begging for weeks and I’m feeling froggy, baby. If you want a shot at this belt, Zicky, say no more…the Stroke Daddy aims to please.”
Zicky yells “ALRIGHT!” and begins celebrating as David Marquez hypes up the official TV Championship match for later this evening. We then head to the ring for our opening contest.
Match 1
Jax Dane vs. Tony Nese
The much larger, more intimidating competitor Jax Dane had something to prove in this match. Feeling forgotten by the changes in the NWA, Dane wanted to make sure all the NWA faithfuls remembered just who he is. Despite several shines of offense by the quicker Nese, Jax Dane was able to put away Nese with The 300 (Spear) for the win.
Winner: Jax Dane at 5:31
We get an advertisement for Tony Falk’s Waffles and Tire Irons, now open in Paducah, Kentucky!
Match 2
Ron “The Truth” Killings v. Rob Van Dam
Both men are obviously well experienced in the pro wrestling business, but they share more than that in common - both men are looking for a career resurgence and the NWA has provided them such a platform. Shunning his former monicker, Ron Killings, a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, put on an amazing performance against the master of the Five Star Frog Splash. In a great back and forth battle of aerial artists, it was The Truth that prevailed over Rob Van Dam after a corkscrew ax kick left RVD in a world of pain.
Winner: Ron Killings at 12:09.
“Many have been wondering, James, what’s your status in the NWA? We haven’t seen you in weeks! Well the good news is, I’m still here and the even BETTER news is that after weeks of searching for the perfect tag team partner, I have finally found him! Now the bad news is, at least for The North, that my tag team partner and I WILL be the next NWA World Tag Team Champions! Who is my partner, you might ask? I guess you’re just gonna have to wait and find out. And for that, well…sorry…about your DAMN luck!”
Match 3
Apollo Crews v. Jake Hager
In this match, the current reigning NWA National Champion has something to prove against the muscle of the Inner Circle, Jake Hager. Crews has been on a roll as of late but it's possible his luck ends in this match. From the opening bell, Hager was dominant over Apollo using a combination of MMA techniques and his power to manhandle the the National Champ. Apollo started making a comeback with a flurry of offense including an enzigiri, a big spear, and even a powerslam on the larger Hager, but Hager was able to stop Crews in his tracks with a big Powerbomb! After a near fall, Hager started to confront the referee about his counting when Apollo had the wherewithall to roll up Hager from behind for the big win.
Winner: Apollo Crews at 9:42

Just as we’re getting ready for our final match of the evening, Scott Steiner appears in the GPB Studios! The NWA faithfuls cannot believe their eyes as the Big Bad Booty Daddy makes his way to the podium. After shoving David Marquez aside, Steiner grabs the microphone for himself and begins doing only what he can.
“Listen up freaks and geeks! Shits about to get real here in the NWA, you hear me? I don’t have time, I don’t have all night to sit here and watch these garbage wrestlers say and do garbage things! I’m here to kick ass and win that NWA Worlds Heavyweight Belt! It’s a belt that has alluded me all my life and I’m sick and damn tired of it! I got a short fuse and I ain’t gonna stop and wait for nothin to get handed to me! I don’t give a damn if Wyatt’s champ, Billy Gunn’s champ, Harley Race is champ, Ellsworth’s champ, Orange Santa’s champ, Billy Bob Thornton I DON’T GIVE A F*CK! Only thing I care abouts winning that belt and I dare any man woman or child to have the balls to stop me!”
Steiner violently throws the microphone down before storming off, leaving David Marquez genuinely shaken up at the demeanor of Steiner. Marquez takes a moment to compose himself, before introducing our competitors for our main event.
Match 4
NWA Television Championship
Zicky Dice vs. Ricky Starks (c)
In our main event of the evening, both competitors showed each other that they were in prime condition for a big title match. Unfortunately for Zicky Dice, he was unable to defeat Ricky Starks within the allotted time period of 6 minutes and 5 seconds despite closing in on Starks towards the end. Saved by the bell? Perhaps. But in any event, Ricky Starks is still your NWA Television Champion.
Winner: Draw by time limit - Ricky Starks retains the NWA Television Championship
We suddenly cut to a shot backstage in the GPB Studios parking lot where it seems that a vehicle has been destroyed and perhaps even caught on fire. People are running away frantically as a fire truck is pulling off to the side, presumably to make room for another vehicle on scene. On commentary, Joe Galli panics and emphasizes the fact that it appears someones vehicle has been destroyed.
We see an ambulance coming off the highway into the parking lot, as this week’s episode of NWA Power comes to a close with more questions than answers.
