Schedule for New Japan Released - New Japan Cup Returns!

Following the astonishing announcement of Harold Meij being the new owner, he wasted no time by making monumental announcements.

The New Japan Cup will return! This time both Heavyweights and Junior Heavyweights will participate, albeit in two different blocks.

The winner of the Heavyweight block will face Tetsuya Naito at Dominion in a Double Gold Dash.

The third and fourth place participants of the Heavyweight Block will face off at Dominion to determine a new IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

The winner of the Junior Heavyweight Block will take on Hiromu Takahashi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at Dominion.

The third and fourth place participants in the Junior Heavyweight Block will face off to qualify for a 4-Way NEVER Openweight Elimination Match to crown a new NEVER Openweight Champion.

The runner-ups in both blocks will automatically qualify for the 4-Way NEVER Openweight match. The remaining slot will be filled with a New Japan Rumble.

As for the tag team championships, as the current champions--Golden☆Ace--are in the New Japan Cup, it has been determined that four teams will face off in a single elimination tournament. The winning team will face the last champions, Guerrillas of Destiny, at Dominion for a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

There will be a similar tournament taking place with the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team division. Four teams will face off with the winner facing Roppongi 3K at Dominion for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
