Latest News and Rumors
- The backstage reception to the newest presentation of the NWA was said to have been mostly positive, according to our sources. With no technical glitches or hiccups during the show, many were pleased with the NWA's sudden "mainstream" appeal although many are also wondering how Paul Ellering and the Board of Directors have managed to create such a dynamic product with high production quality in such a short amount of time. There are several rumors backstage regarding this, though we cannot confirm anything at this time.
- We have received several inquiries from readers asking what the attendance was at the Allstate Arena. From our understanding, the Allstate Arena was approximately 65% full with the rest of the seating being tarped off. The Board was said to be pleased with this.
- Paul London and Brian Kendrick will be reuniting as a tag team in the NWA. London and Kendrick, sometimes known as "The Hooligans" will bring a high-flying style to the tag team division.
- James Storm is set to take some time off. The Tennessee Cowboy has been dealing with several nagging injuries over the last few months. It is believed he will be a permanent fixture in the upper mid card scene of the NWA, as a babyface, upon his return.
- We can confirm that Bobby Roode, Josh Alexander, and Ethan Page will be moving forward as a heel trio while retaining the name "The North." The company sees Roode as someone who can be a top heel in the company. There has been strong talks that Roode may be slated for an NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship run, though plans change frequently.

BREAKING NEWS: FLAIR GONE FROM THE NWA AFTER TRADE W/ WWF; NWA RECEIVES JOHN MORRISON
In a big breaking news update, the NWA has confirmed that Ric Flair has been traded out of the NWA in exchange for John Morrison. The trade has been said to be a "damn shame" by several backstage NWA talents, as Ric Flair was considered a mentor to many in addition to being a very integral part of the NWA's history. This appears to be the most recent decision by NWA owner Paul Ellering in an attempt to "get with the times" and move the NWA past it's old-school presentation. One source noted that Ellering's decision to trade Flair out of the NWA may have been a response to a question Ellering received at the Virtual State of the NWA address though that cannot be confirmed.

NWA News and Rumors November 15, 2020
- Many backstage were surprised at the decision to have Bobby Roode defeat Tetsuya Naito to earn a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. There was some chatter backstage that Naito's already "dead on arrival" despite an impressive performance against Bobby Roode in the main event of Power. Many are questioning Paul Ellering's decision and it is of the general opinion that Naito's debut was simply for a short term boost in ratings. There are other rumors that this isn't the last time we'll see Roode and Naito go head to head.
- Attendance for the last two NWA Power events have been solid, according to backstage sources. The ambitious plan of Ellering, on its face, appears to be working as many new fans are discovering the NWA each day. TBS is also said to be happy with the ratings the show has been receiving.
- In an injury update, James Storm was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff. It's not believed to be a serious tear, but Storm may be out for up to several months. He's already started physical therapy in hopes to recover quickly and get back to the ring.
- It appears that the reunited Dudley Boys will be getting a shot at the tag team titles in the near future, possibly at the next NWA PPV "Into The Fire." The legendary tag team is said to be feeling great physically, and are confident they can have one last major run together in the NWA.
- We've also heard rumors that Samoa Joe may be dealing with several nagging injuries. The current National Champion is not expected to miss any ring time. There's no word on whether Joe may be dropping the championship to Eli Drake at Into The Fire in order to rehab these injuries.

NWA News and Rumors December 17, 2020
- NWA's next event, Into The Fire, is said to be all but finalized. The backstage atmosphere heading into the show is said to be one of "excitement." Many talents are said to still be in "disbelief" that the NWA has gained such mainstream attention in such a short amount of time, though there is still a substantial amount of talent who would first give credit to Billy Corgan rather than current owner, Paul Ellering.
- Rumors have been floating around that the NWA may be seeing a new television product emerge soon. The working title is "NWA Shockwave" and is expected to be the "B-Show" of sorts. However, the idea is that Shockwave will still feature important highlights throughout the program that may advance feuds, storylines, and maybe even an occasional title change while utilizing wrestlers who may not get a chance to shine on Power. There's been talk internally of featuring a brand split for the NWA, though it's believed this idea was shot down fairly quickly. For the new Shockwave logo, please see our previous story.
- James Storm is said to be rehabbing well after suffering a torn rotator cuff while training. Storm is said to be in "excellent" physical condition but he is not in a rush to get back into the ring. The 43-year-old Tennessee native is a veteran of the squared circle whose last appearance in the NWA featured him receiving a beatdown by fellow tag team partner and current #1 Contender for the World Championship, Bobby Roode.
- It is believed that Paul Ellering is waiting for the "perfect moment" to reintroduce the Inner Circle to the NWA's growing audience, and there has also been talks of adding a new member though we cannot confirm who that may be at this time.
- Although Into The Fire has not yet aired, the NWA creative team has been "working feverishly" to map out the next several months of programming, including the next pay-per-view. It is believed that the next pay-per-view in planning will feature a "gimmick match theme" although there's no word of what type of match that may be.

The belief backstage is that owner Paul Ellering is said to be a major part of the company's loss of popularity. We have received information that there has even been rumblings of the NWA closing its doors for good. Many talent feel that former owner Billy Corgan was the best man for the job, but he has expressed no interest in returning to the pro wrestling industry. We'll keep you updated.
