"Welcome to the NXT Press Conference. Seeing as how things are getting ready to change around here, I wanted to clear the air a little bit. As you may or may not know, the Global Wrestling Alliance is alive and well. So what does that mean for NXT? We are now a COMPANY. This little movement that started a few years ago isn't just a third brand. Me and that old guy, yeah...we didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things. Our lawyers did some business and NXT is now its own standalone company!
That means over the next several weeks, you will be introduced to brand new NXT talent. I have secured the contracts of several top stars in this business, as well as guys who have been begging for ONE opportunity...just ONE chance...to show the world what they're made of."
Triple H pauses for a moment before reflecting on his next words.
"You might also be wondering - what about the NXT World Championship? The North American Championship? Unlike some other promotions who are part of the GWA, I will NOT be vacating ANYTHING. Karrion Kross EARNED the NXT World Championship. Keith Lee EARNED the North American Championship. These men will remain champions.
Now...as far as the NXT Tag Team Titles, those ARE vacant due to us losing our champions. I did everything in my power, but I couldn't keep them here in NXT. I wish them well in their overseas aspirations. Now, with that said, that leaves us in a predicament. We need tag team champions to represent the best...not brand...but COMPANY in the world. So that is why I'm announcing several of our new signings will compete in a TRIPLE THREAT tag team match to determine the NXT Tag Team Champions.
Matt and Jeff...The Hardys!
Daniels and Kazarian...SCU!
And two men who have, quite honestly, been treated like dog shit half of their careers...Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander! You guys wanted a chance? I'm an equal-opportunity kinda guy. Go out there and steal the damn show!"
Triple H smiles. You can tell he's pumped about this!
"Oh, and I forgot to mention, sometimes I like to put a little twist on things. So that triple threat tag team match for the vacant NXT Tag Team Straps? Yeah...let's make that a LADDER MATCH! That match will take place at our first show under the GWA banner, at a date to be announced soon.
NOW...the moment you guys have been waiting for, let's open up the floor. You got questions? I got answers. Let's do it. First question please..."

1. nXt has been a forefront for a women's division with such stars coming from the promotion like Becky Lynch, Bayley, Sasha Banks among others. Are we going to see a women's division?
2. Do we have any challengers in place for Karrion or Keith Lee?
3. You signed a wild child in Eddie Kingston...It's being said that WCW is VERY interested in bringing him into their promotion. Is there any chance Eddie could be moved?
4. What are the plans for takeovers? Is the big event going to be Takeover: Brooklynn like in previous years?
5. Lastly, are you going to be entering the ring or are those days behind you?

"Great questions, King. So first of all, let me just say that NXT is proud of the incredible female athletes we've helped produce. At this time, there is no plans in motion to expand our roster any further - male or female. I am thrilled with the talent we have on board and I want to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to shine. If the day comes that I decide to create a female roster, I want it to be the best damn women's roster in the world. Let's see how things go first.
As far as challengers for Mr. Kross and Mr. Lee, I have a few names in mind. We certainly have some high-caliber talents coming into NXT who want to claim their stake. But we also have guys like Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and Drew McIntyre who have all helped NXT become what it is today. I want to reward that. So my challenge is going to be finding the balance between newcomers who want their shot, while also recognizing the pioneers of NXT who have helped build this company.
Now...as far as Eddie Kingston goes, look. I'll be honest. Eddie is a no BS straight shooter. What you see is what you get. Eddie Kingston is a huge addition to the NXT roster and I'm excited to see how far he'll go. I've met with Eddie several times now and you really just never know what the guys going to say...and that's his biggest asset. Barring any major issues with Eddie, he's here to stay and I have faith that he'll take this chance and own it. Now if Shane wants to have a talk with me, I'm always open to ideas. But it's going to be very difficult to let someone like Eddie jump ship when I know how valuable he is to this company.
Regarding Takeovers...the answer is yes. But that's all I'll say for now, you gotta tune in to find out the rest.
Let me finish by answering your last question. You're wondering if I'm gonna lace the boots up and get back in the ring? No plans for that right now. Making NXT the best is my focus. We'll just have to wait and see.
Next?"

Meltzer: Hunter, Dave Meltzer from ProWrestling Observer. First off, congratultions on securing the sole ownership of NXT and transitioning it from arguable WWE's best brand, to it's own company! I have a few questions, if you don't mind.
1.) "Before the split from WWE, WWE.com's records show that Johnny Gargano was inface that NXT North American Champion. Has NXT decided not to acknowledge his reign, or was there anoter factor to allowing Keith Lee to re-enter the promotion as the current North American Champion?"
2.) "You alluded to some internal issues with your father in law as a major reason for your decision to split NXT from the WWE chain of command, has this severed your relationship with Mr. McMahon at all, or will we still have an opportunity for contracted NXT superstars to appear on WWE own progrmaming and vise verca?"
3.) "Following up on the previous question, the new ownerships around the GWA landscape appear to favour eachother in terms of working relationships. With you father in law and brother in law both owning WWE and WCW respectively, there seems to be a major avenue for talent sharing shaping up. Is this a real option, or just a wrestling fan's wet dream at this point?"
4.) "Before splitting from the WWE umbrella, NXT had it's notable UK expnasion, NXT: UK. There were also talks of expanding to NXT: Japan as well as NXT: India. Are these expansions now dead, or is this something that we may still see in the near future?"
5.) "Finally, in what must have been hard news for you to hear, your best friend and someone who was instrumental in helping oversee NXT alongside you, Shawn Michael has seemingly jupped ship to your biggest rival AEW, what are your thoughts on this? Also with AEW historically beating NXT in ratings most weeks over the last year and a half, is there rumored moved to Tuesday nights for NXT still a go, or will you be looking to continue a Wednesday Night War with AEW?"

Unknown interviewer Mince VcMahon appears to ask some questions.
Mince : First of all how dare you draft Roma.... I mean... What are your intentions for Roman Reigns? Is he going to be one of your top stars? I noticed you didn't mention him when asked about top contenders...
Second... Do you think NXT can really stand on its own with the WWE holding it up? I mean it has been WWE's developmental brand for like... Ever...
And last question.... Who do you think you are?! I mean.... What do you consider NXT to be now that its now all on its own?

"Dave Meltzer, unexpected to see you here today!"
Triple H chuckles - perhaps a bit uncomfortably - knowing that Melzer has been a somewhat controversial figure in the wrestling world for decades.
"Keith Lee voluntarily relinquished the NXT North American Championship. He never actually lost the title in the first place. We are proud of his work in NXT, his passion, and his drive to make this the best brand...and now COMPANY...in the wrestling world. Seeing as how the last several champions are no longer with NXT, and that Keith never lost the belt, it was a decision that I stand behind.
Your second and third question both have a very simple answer - NXT is open for business, and we'll do whatever business we think makes sense for our audience. I will leave it at that.
As far as NXT expansions, it's not in the cards right now. We may have special events in the future that reflect the geographic diversity that the NXT brand has showcased in the past. But as far as new and extended brands, it's not going to happen at this time. Too many rosters leads to hard working wrestlers getting screwed, getting lost in the shuffle...I won't put any of my guys in that position. Everyone has a chance here to make an impression and fight their way to the top for the most coveted prize in pro wrestling, the NXT World Championship.
And finally...you know, Shawn...Shawn does Shawn. Shawn saw his opportunity and he took it. Whether you think it was selfish of him, or that he betrayed us, my opinion on that doesn't matter. I wish him the best.
I'm not worried about AEW...they should be worried about us."

Triple H looks pissed off, and damn near disgusted, at the sight of Mince VcMahon or whatever the hell his name is. He looks over to security, who are just standing their slightly amused. He rolls his eyes.
"You want to know what I think about NXT? Let me tell you what I KNOW.
I KNOW that I have the strongest roster out of any other major promotion under the GWA banner. I KNOW that our wrestlers can't be touched in terms of athleticism, passion, and entertainment. I KNOW that NXT, even as a 'developmental brand', was head and shoulders above what that senile old fool Vince McMahon could ever put together. Let's put it on the record. Meltzer, get your pencil out of your ass and write this down.
NXT was always the superior brand in the WWE. People craved more NXT while they laughed at Vince's product. I don't give a damn how Vince wants to run his company, the only thing I care about is making NXT the best every single week. So what is NXT now that its on its own? It's the best wrestling company on the damn planet.
As far as Roman goes, he's actually going to have to work for it around here. Just like Finn. Just like KO. Just like Karrion, and Keith Lee."
